Confetti Wedding Suite!

My college roommate, Emily, got married 2 weeks ago in Richmond, Virginia. We dodged Hurricane Sandy and their celebration was truly magical.

We had the honor to be a part of her paper trail from the very beginning. Remember her paint chip save the dates and Anthro Bridal Shower? If you don’t let’s recap. Emily is a beautiful, fun spirited, modern, metropolitan, smart, funny, and all together awesome woman. When we started to design her wedding suite, she loved the idea of a confetti border and wanted to use the distressed font from her save the dates. So, we came up with a few options for her–from traditional to fun and modern.

Emily and Rafael chose to go with a graphic text block and confetti border throughout their suite. We designed and printed their invitations and reply postcards in our studio. The inserts were flat printed at her local print shop on silver iridescent vellum. These were all assembled in pocket enclosure seen here and sealed with custom stickers that we designed and fabricated here.

The pocket enclosure served as the inner envelope with her guests’ first names–a great modern twist with a formal allusion. We even got a chance to practice our calligraphy skills–more on that in another post…

We had so much fun creating these for Em and Rafael and really enjoyed celebrating with them a few weeks ago. You guys are amazing and congratulations!

It’s a yellow kind of day

We ran a few thank you cards yesterday with the extra yellow ink from our school of fish press. We love this mix of yellow that we call sunshine. It’s the perfect balance of brightness and gentleness that will truly bring a smile to your face. The thank you cards are simple and elegant where you can express your gratitude with a personal note inside.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and the studio is filled with so many different V-Day cards. One of our favorites so far is just as simple as XOXO. It’s not fancy, there are no frills–it’s just a simple statement with two little letters.

Cultivate workshop

We’ve been working with Flaire Weddings & Events as a sponsor for a wedding vendor workshop in Florida. The Cultivate Workshop will be held this weekend with their agenda, menu and welcome gift tags made by StudioTEN15. The suite is tied together with a common design element: the debossed block pattern gives an embossed quality to the text. We had a wonderful time working with Flaire and look forward to hearing feedback from the workshop!

I love working with text as a graphic because it’s so simple, yet so powerful. For Christmas, my nephew will be getting a few books and these alphabet cards with his nickname highlighted. I wanted to do something like this a few years ago as his birth announcement, so he’s finally getting them – only two years late!

And I’m printing the new studio logo on the back of each card. What do you think?
