We’ve been working on Emily and Mike’s wedding invitation booklets for the past few weeks.
Emily and I met a few years ago as we started our journey through graduate school pursuing our Master of Architecture degrees. We became fast friends on a field trip to New Orleans where we shared a lot of laughs and a lot of stories. Little did I know that I had also met Mike numerous times before the prior year at my favorite lunch spot in town. I was thrilled when Emily agreed to work together, along with our friend Rush to create a unique and memorable wedding suite.
Rush and Emily were the masterminds behind the design and we all collaborated back and forth with each other for a few weeks before finally settling on a design that embodies Emily and Mike’s fun and spunky personalities.
We sent off for plates at Boxcar and started pressing on our Craftsmen press a few weeks ago. We mixed a custom teal for the main color and used a light gray and a very dark gray as accents for each of the pages. After pressing, we scored all the pages to allow for ease in folding the booklet pages and we perforated the rsvp page for the tear off reply postcard. We then attached grommets to each booklet and voila, 125 invitation booklets ready to send!
I had so much fun working with Emily, Mike, and Rush–THANK YOU for letting me work with you!
