A new home for an old press

We drove up to Brooklyn last weekend to pick up Dumbo, our new (old) printing press. The previous owners from Sesame Press took really good care of the press and it was print ready.  We only had to reattach the feed board to the front, and luckily Sesame Press still had the original tucked away in their shop.

It was quite a feat to get this 200lb press up a rickety old set of stairs and into the studio, but at last, Dumbo has found his new home with StudioTEN15. We’ve ordered a new Boxcar Base to mount our photopolymer plates and we should be able to start pressing next week!
